What is Mens Lab Coat (Overall) TopTex & Cotten Fabric?
The AZ SurgiMed Pro Men's Lab Coat is a full-length professional overall for doctors, pharmacists, dentists, laboratory technicians and medical students. It is cut as a classic long coat with a notched collar, front button closure and functional pockets for the equipment carried on a ward round.
The fabric is a TopTex and cotton blend. That mix is deliberate: cotton keeps the coat breathable through long shifts in a warm climate, while the polyester component resists creasing and holds shape through the frequent hot washing that clinical clothing requires. A pure cotton coat is more comfortable but loses its pressed appearance quickly; this blend is the practical compromise most hospitals settle on.

- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and level across the back. Keep the tape snug but not tight and breathe normally.
- Waist
- Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest point, roughly level with your navel. This is where a scrub trouser drawstring sits.
- Hip
- Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, with your feet together.
- Inseam
- Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem to fall, wearing the shoes you work in.

- A poly-viscose blend is dimensionally stable — expect under 2% shrinkage when washed at 40°C and line-dried. Avoid hot tumble drying, which is what causes noticeable shrinkage.

- Only if you are between two rows or layer a thermal underneath. Four-way-stretch fabric already allows full arm and squat movement at your true body size.
