What is Women Lab Coat (Overall) TopTex & Cotten Fabric?
The AZ SurgiMed Pro Women's Lab Coat is a full-length professional overall cut for a women's fit, for doctors, pharmacists, dentists, laboratory technicians and medical students. It keeps the classic long-coat silhouette — notched collar, front button closure, functional pockets — with a shaped cut through the body rather than a straight unisex block.
The TopTex and cotton blend is chosen for clinical reality: cotton for breathability through long shifts in a warm climate, polyester for crease resistance and shape retention through the frequent hot washing that clinical clothing requires. It is what keeps a coat looking pressed at the end of a shift rather than at the start of one.
Care: machine wash warm with like colours, separately from personal clothing as standard infection-control practice. - Chest or bust
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and level across the back. Keep the tape snug but not tight and breathe normally.
- Waist
- Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest point, roughly level with your navel. This is where a scrub trouser drawstring sits.
- Hip
- Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, with your feet together.
- Inseam
- Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem to fall, wearing the shoes you work in.

- Do medical scrubs shrink after washing?
- A poly-viscose blend is dimensionally stable — expect under 2% shrinkage when washed at 40°C and line-dried. Avoid hot tumble drying, which is what causes noticeable shrinkage.
- Should I size up in scrubs?
- Only if you are between two rows or layer a thermal underneath. Four-way-stretch fabric already allows full arm and squat movement at your true body size.
